My Favorite Cafes in L.A – Huckleberry

The reasons why I went to Huckleberry for the first time was because I read in a magazine that it was there that was filmed that scene in the movie It’s Complicated  in which Meryl Streep and Steve Martin are in the kitchen making croissants. I couldn’t resist it.

You realized how popular Huckleberry is when you go there on weekends and you face a looong line with people holding menus. So many options in front of you to decide that when you go for the first time you probably get confuse. And as the line moves, you get closer to a showcase with incredible options. So yummy.

At Huckleberry you will find from homemade artisan breads, sandwiches and salads to great breakfast meals and delicious sweets and pastries. Their products come from local farmer’s market and they only sell hormone and antibiotics free meat. Looking for the food you can tell that everything is really fresh (and taste delicious).
My favorites dishes are:

Breakfast:
  • Green eggs & ham – with La Quercia prosciutto, pesto & arugula on English muffin
  • Niman Ranch brisket hash & two fried eggs

Lunch
  • Warm house made brisket sandwich on ciabatta
  • Marinated peppers & burrata sandwich on baguette
  • Goat cheese salad with organic mixed greens, poached quince, & toasted almonds with red wine vinaigrette
  • Roasted market beets with burrata, toasted walnuts, fresh olives, arugula & red wine vinaigrette
Sweets
  • Mini chocolate cupcakes
  • Salted Caramels

By far Huckleberry Cafe and Urth Caffe (that I talked in here before, you can check it out) are one of my favorites spots for breakfast and lunch in Los Angeles. You should try it!
