34 Days in Europe – Day 01 PARIS

After 28 hours travelling, including three different planes, four different cities and three different countries we finally got in Paris! Tired of the travel, a bad night of sleep in those thinning seats and waits in airports I still had some excitement to see for the first time the famous Pari. I could listen in my mind a typical Paris music while seeing the parisiennes in the street, walking, hiding bikes, sitting

in the small bistros or walking holding their popular baguettes. Yes, you feel soft when you get in Paris, specially after a 2 days without sleeping.

We went directly to my friend’s apartment, in the heart of the Marais, where she was waiting for us in her cute and stylish home. The surprise: no elevator. Yes, 04 floors carrying 02 heavy bags and backpacks upstairs. “Welcome to Paris” she said with a big smile on her face.

Since we got in the city in the afternoon we decided to enjoy our first day  in the neighborhood. After having lunch in a corner bistro few steps from where we were staying, we walked through the charmingMarais  in the direction of the La Seine. After crossing the Seine we saw an astonishing building: Notre Dame. What a beautiful church. From the back the view is even more beautiful that from the front. I assure that! We made a tour inside the church, and after some learning and praying, we kept our walk in direction of St. Germain des Pres. Another cute neighborhood. What I enjoyed most about this region are the tinny streets, the small buildings with  single rustic doors, the charming bistros/coffee places in every corner and the stylish fashion stores. I could walk, walk and walk for hours and keep finding charming little places in every block. I would probably be constantly surprised. That’s Paris, Mon Amour!
After our long afternoon we stopped at the Georges Pompidou Museéfor a panoramic view of the city from the rooftop, and off course, a glass of white wine to celebrate life.

For dinner we walked to a small Italian
place called Delitaly
Yummy food, perfect company
and an unique background.

Paris, I love you!
Just starting…….See you soon!
