Picnic at the Park Buttes Chaumont:

This incredible green area northern of Paris it is a big surprise. Not often mentioned in tourist guides (thanks god!) the park is a paradise for children, old people and practitioners of tai chi chuan, that, from the top of the hills, can admire the unforgettable view of the city – in the opposite side of the Eiffel Tower.
After go up and down in the park, discover caves and bridges, English and Chinese’s’ gardens, explore the famous Belvedere of Sybil (It is 30 meters in height and is located in a little lake’s island), find your spot and spread your towel in those huge green fields. As a typical French, don’t forget to bring in your bag a fresh baguette, a bottle of Bordeaux and some delicious pieces of cheese. For dessert, strawberries or other red berries. With the sunset as a companionship, some friends and love, what else do you need?!

Museu Quai Branly

“An architectural and cultural work of art” is the best way to define this incredible museum designed by Jean Nouvel and famous for their work arts about Africa, Asia and Oceania.

At Sena’s edge (know by quais of Paris) and filled by greens, it is unbelievable that people don’t have enough knowledge about this museum.
Maybe the fact that it was built 6 years ago or that’s fights for attention against  the Eiffel Tower (next to him) the walk around there is quiet and relaxing (specially in a sunny day while riding a Vélib…).

After visit some of the 3.500 works of arte and temporary exhibitions (you can find a lot of photo arts there) the best way to finish your day in the museum is go to the rooftop of the  Les Ombres restaurant. The place is beautiful and has delicious food with a view of the most famous monument of Paris. And nothing better that adding a plate of noix Saint-Jacques and a post – card to make you feel happier.

Rose Bakery

A visit to the Marais its worth a day. The art galleries, new designers stores, hôtels particuliers and the little streets makes everybody delighted.
When hungry, trying to run away from the croissants and pâtisseries in the neighborhood, choose a place with a less French-style, but still, full of charm.  When we look at the Rose Bakery we can’t figure out if the place is a restaurant, a tea house, or a bakery, but the truth is, the bakery, loved by the organic food lovers,  it is A find!

The Anglo Italian chef Rose Carrarini is responsible for the kitchen from where you can smell the delicious pies, brownies, muffins, fresh juices and the variety of teas.  Besides that, the bakery is also into the fashion world: a partnership with the Comme des Garçons generated the design of the uniforms and cooking utensils used in the restaurant. The industrial architecture mixed with the colorful fruits and vegetables, sold at the counter to take out or eat there, create a unique identity of the place.

Tea and Hamman at the Pairs Mosque

After tried a true hamman be ready to add a new addiction to your life. Be massaged, rubbed, exfoliated and rinsed by wise hands is an anthropological experience that fortunately can be experienced in Paris. Close to the busy neighborhood Quartier Latin and to the Sena it hides the first mosque built in France, well know by their incredible gardens and tea rooms. And that’s exactly what you should do:  start your day there having a lot of fun enjoying the sauna and massages and after go for a cup of mint tea and the traditional baklava(the delicious sweet made with filo pastry, honey        and pistachio – or walnuts, almonds, etc).

Close your eyes and you will feel that you are far, far away!
