Every month more and more websites, applications, social networks and other tools related to travel are available in the Internet. Blogs are the perfect place to gather information, some tips and advices about specific regions, restaurants, attractions. But, before decide where to go, some websites are helping people to search for new destinations and share with others information about it. Check it out some of the options:

1. Goby

Goby is a search engine that explores fun things to do or new destinations for vacations or weekends. The website asks you three main questions, What? Where? and When?, and give you suggestions related to your answers. Its a great channel if you are looking for what to do and where to go in your next vacation, and is also perfect is you are seeking new experiences and ways to have fun. Goby’s goal: “Stop the madness and eliminate the need to hop around to multiple Web sites and sort through information that’s often incomplete and/or irrelevant or hard to find”.

2.Wanderfly:

Wanderfly is another search engine with focus in travel but different from Goby, it asks you to enter certain fields, like city you’re leaving from, interests, budget and time frame, and then it will give you customize recommendations. Before joining the site you have to request to be a member and they have to allow you to participate. What is interesting about Wanderfly is that if you Login with Facebook you can ask your friends questions, give advices, or write reviews about your favorite destinations. Moreover, you can see where you friends live, where they’ve been and where they are planning to go.

3. Kiwi Collection:

Kiwi Collection is a search website that provides a big collection of luxury hotels around the world. They reinforce that every hotel available in their website is personally reviewed to ensure it offers truly outstanding guest experiences before it is invited to join. What they offer: a wide selection of pre-screened, premium hotels across the globe, special treatment, and best rates guaranteed. And if you find a better publicly available rate, they match it.

4. Gogobot:

Gogobot is a social network for travelers to share experiences about trips and get advices from places and attractions. You can connect to Gogobot using your Facebook or Twitter account to ask personal reviews and advices to your own friends. It’s also has an Iphone app in which you can write reviews about a place and send photos from your trips.

5. Uptake:

The last suggestion of travel tool is Uptkae. The website is similar to Gogobot because it is a social network in which your friends from Facebook that gives you advices of places to go. But the idea here is to make your friends guide you to your next trip. Uptake gathers information from your Facebook friends so that you can ask questions like where to go in a specific city or what to do only for people who’ve been to these places you are interesting in. You can choose to ask your question to all of those people either through a public wall post or a private Facebook message.
